The Montclair High School Media Center is fully integrated into the MHS curriculum and is central to the learning process for all students. It is a critical element empowering students to be active participants in an information rich society.

The Media Center offers a diverse collection of print and non-print media. The print collection consists of over 5,000 volumes, including an extensive and up-to-date reference area, a periodical section, and access to over 30 iMacs for research and writing. In addition, we house an extensive professional collection for staff. Our catalog is computerized and online with the BELS System the catalog is available on all computers on the network as well as through the MHS webpage.

We provide technology access to the subscription databases below, as well as those available through the BELSNJ.ORG website. Our teachers have access to Turnitin.com to verify that students are not plagiarizing.

Library Policy:
Books have a four-week loan period and periodicals may be borrowed overnight. You are welcome at all times with a pass from a teacher and may use the Media Center during lunch and study halls with a pass.
